Book Fair

The first Book Fair was held in in July 1983 with approximately 20,000 books.  The last Book Fair, held in 2019, saw for sale early 100,000 books, magazines, records, CDs and DVDs.

In the past,  in each odd-numbered year, the Friends conducted a Book Fair.   A sale of second hand books – fiction,  rare books, CDs, DVDs sheet music etc.  Books include texts, Australiana, foreign languages, art, medical, engineering and commerce.  All books are categorised.   In fact we have over 50 categories.

 

DONATIONS

The Book Fair will re-open for Donations from January 16th 2024 between the hours of 8:30am to 11:30am each Tuesday and Wednesday.

WHAT WE ACCEPT

We welcome new and used books, rare books, records, text books, sheet music, comics,  all in good saleable condition.

WHAT WE DON’T ACCEPT

We cannot accept Encyclopaedias, , video tapes, or books unsold from other book sales.   If books are yellowed, torn, written in or with pages stuck together please recycle them rather than bringing them in for us to do so.

It would be appreciated also if the books could be packed in smaller sized boxes for ease of handling for our volunteers.
